Dual language learners—children between the ages of 0-8 who are in the process of learning English while still learning their home language—represent a large and growing share of the early childhood population in the United States. This report asks parents, educators, and policymakers to consider the unique needs of these children and families, and how to incorporate them into the early learning environment.
